Vladimir Putin challenges Joe Biden to a live online debate

Jen Psaki immediately shot down the invitation

“I want to offer President Biden that we continue our discussion, but on the condition that we do it live, online, without any delays.” – Vladimir Putin.

Biden spoke with Putin over the phone on January 26th. Putin says he wants to continue their conversation but in the form of a live public debate that would be broadcast over the internet. White House press secretary Jen Psaki immediately shot down the idea and alleged that Biden was “too busy.”

This comes on the heels of Biden’s sudden anti-Putin rant. Joe Biden received an award from the Brzezinski Institute on Geostrategy Center for Strategic & International Studies [CSIS]. The organization is named after Zbigniew Brzezinski, the former National Security Advisor for Jimmy Carter. The CSIS is a pro-globalism think tank and is often seen as pro-war.

Biden was asked if he thought Putin “was a killer” by an unidentified reporter during the event. The reporter was most likely trying to bait Biden into making a wild off-the-cuff statement, and Biden took the bait with enthusiasm. He said he did believe Putin was a killer and then declared that Putin “has no soul.”

Putin responded by saying, “I remember in my childhood when we argued in the courtyard with each other we used to say: he who said it did it. And that’s not a coincidence, not just a children’s saying or joke. The psychological meaning here is very deep. We always see our own traits in other people and think they are like how we really are. And as a result, we assess (a person’s) activities and give assessments.”

Andrei Turchak, the United Russia party leader, described Biden’s remarks as a reflection of “the U.S. political marasmus and its leader’s dementia.”

Turkish President Erdogan, who has a conflict with Russia himself, denounced Biden, saying his “statements about Mr. Putin do not fit of a president, and a president coming out and using such remarks against the president of a country like Russia is truly unacceptable, not something that can be stomached.”

Biden has increased US military actions in Syria, which put him at odds with Putin and Erdogan. In Syria, the US sponsors Kurdish Marxists that Turkey is fighting to suppress and Arab Sunni radicals that Russia is fighting to suppress.
